I am looking for some advice to ensure I am on the right track. I put my 1982 class "A" in storage 5 months ago with no brake problems so I thought. I went to move it the other day and the brake pedal went to the floor with no resistance. I opened the master cylinder and the front resovoir was dry with no signs of leakage. I added fluid and tried pedal again no change. I am planning on bleeding the system next but am unsure if the front of the master cylinder is the back brakes or front. Any help will be great I am not familiar with this set up. Thanks
I have found this one of the seemly most over looked fluid to be changed (Brake) in all older and in fact all motor homes. The TEMPS that Motor home fluid goes thru is a kin to a nascar for anyone that has been camping in the mountians, PLEASE everyone remeber to take your coach to a Brake and tire store or get the proper tools (Vacume pump and catch can) and keep fresh brake fluid of proper DOT #3,4,5,6, ?? what ever Per your master cyl. INcase someone of you did not think about how Brake fluid get hot it is IN THE CALIPER and sometimes that is over several hundred degrees yada yada yada.. as far as this thread it is clear that you have a a WIDE OPEN LEAK. and you ought to be able to see it from 100 feet if you look at the rear tires if not the rear, then follw the lines, Find the leak! REPLACE the hoses as if one went they may be all ready to go.
