Alcoa wheels won't fit Rob Smith 2-1-05
We are trying to add a set of Alcoa wheels to our 72 MCI coach. The wheels are pilot hole buds. The existing studs in the tag and steering axle appear to be too short as the nut will not capture the entire stud length. Any tips other than changing all the studs (i'm told they can be awful to remove)

That's the only way. You could take it down to the bare hub and then a truck repair shop can easily remove and install the correct length studs. It is worth it, the proud factor is great, the ride quality will improve (less unsprung weight), and the brakes will stay cooler because of Aluminum's heat dissipation qualities. Just don't hit any curbs with your tire, they do crack easily. Good Luck, TomC
Cant find right lugs DAVID NEWMAN 4-9-08
TRYING TO PUT A SET OF ALCOA RIMS ON A 87 CHEV ROLLBACK. THEY CAME OFF A 96. I THINK WHAT WOULD SOLVE MY PROBLEM IS IF I COULD BUY 9/16-18 LUGS WITH EXTERNAL THREADS SO I COULD INSTALL THE FACTORY CENTER CAP. I CAN NOT FIND THEM LOCALLY
THANKS FOR ANY HELP
DAVID
