I have a 1983 Chev C Class motor home. The hydraBoost unit has developed a leak. It is from the rear of the unit and causing power steering fluid loss in the cab and down the firewall. Is this unit rebuildable like a standard master cylinder and where would I find such a kit. Thanks for any and all info.
I have a similar problem with a 88 P30 Poatal van and hit a lot of dead ends until I went to my local Chevy dealership. They sent to a nearby dealership that had the repair kit in stock. The kit I needed cost $40. Good Luck...Ron
Ron, can I get the phone number from the dealership that you got the Hyroboost rebuild kit. Thank you in advance. My email address MV_NGUYEN@YAHOO.COM

Russ, The power booster for P30 chassis is very simple for internally rebuild. All you have to deal with few rubber sealing gaskets inside the unit, but the problem is nobody can find gasket set for it, except Ron. If you can locate one, please let me know where it is so I can get one too. Ron, please post the info. where you got your gasket kit so others can solve their problems. Thanks
Started w/68 3/4 ton 396 manual 2wd. replaced running gear with 85 3/4 ton 4wd. this is a welding unit that carries a lot of weight. would hydroboost conversion make a marked improvement in stopping power? i had an 84 diesel 4wd and it had the greatest brakes i've ever had. any info. would help. thanks, mcgeezer
