I would like to check the rear brake shoes on mu 87 winnebago P30 chassis.
when the tires (dual rear wheels) were removed the drum would not budge. Does the axle have to be removed first? I do not want to have to replace this seal if it is not neccessary.
I am almost positive that the drum is attached to the rear hub. You have to remove the axle and then the fun begins. I doubt you will have the right tools to do this job. Take it to a pro. You may need a special socket to undo the hub nut(s)
