Just found this part of the mechanic's forum. A lot of good information here. I found that I'm not the only person this has happened to.
Yesterday the parking brake on my ‘98 Pace Arrow (P-30 chassis) applied while in holiday traffic. The “mobile mechanic” disconnected the brake so we could get home. The mechanic found that putting the shift lever in “Park” will not keep the RV from rolling. Something caused a severe drag after about 100 miles and lugged the motor down. It restarted and seemed OK as we continued home (about 30 miles). The RV is now chocked and chained to a tree in my backyard. Are these 2 problems that a Chevy auto sales service department is likely to be able to repair? Are they connected?
We have a 1997 Cruise Master on a Chevy P30 chassis that has had all kind of trouble with the parking brake, have had it worked on several times and the brake still seems to come on while vehicle is moving. what do I need to do to cure my problem
