I have a dodge shadow that when i went to check the timing on it, the timing mark would not stay still. In other words with a timing light connected the mark would jump back & forth. Is this the sign of a bad distributor? Thanks
Rimfire - I don't see why you put an ignition timing question under the heading of brakes, it makes it harder to find. But ---- you could have bad contacts in the distributor cap, your ignition wires may be arcing, your spark plugs might need replacing, or (less likely) there is a bad bearing in the base of your distributor, or maybe it's not one of the obvious answers. Good luck!
