I need someone to talk with via E-mail about the subject matter. Have not been able to diagnose my problem. I have the Service Manual and have done just about everything I could to find out why it engaged while driving and getting a burning electrical smell. Disconnected the Relay Lever Assembly linkage, finished my trip but have not been able to locate what caused the Burning Electrical wiring smell. Moe
Burning odor does mean the actuated cables which are routed too near the manifold burned out and the sleve inside have melted. you will have to replace them with new ones.have had a lot of problems whith the park brake system on my 1998 p30 chevrolet. this system is not safe and must be checked regurlarly by a competent mechanic.
