This morning we all got settled into our 1988 Southwind 33 (P30/454) for a weekend excursion. I put the gear selector in reverse and pressed on the brakes and the pedal went to the floor and the brake light came on! Needless to say we all disboarded and found other ways to amuse ourselves. My amusement was trying to get to the Master Cylinder. On the P30 chassis the MS is under the driver's floorboard. I wanted to top off the resevoir so that I could get the rig to the neighborhood RV shop for a Master Cylinder repair/replacement. I can release the spring clips which hold the resevoir cover on but I am afraid I will not be able to replace them. Is ther any "trick" involved with this proceedure? I crawled under the front end and saw that the MS was leaking a little.
Yep have to be a contortionist, but the locks will go back. Easier if you have jacks to raise up chasiss so you can get over front wheel. Then you can get arm in position to pull each one back over. And if you have drivers door, the steps are also in the way!!!!!!!
