MY BRAKE PEDDLE VERY SLOWLY GOES TO THE FLOOR, WHEN STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. I HAVE CHECKED EACH WHEEL, NO LEAKS. '91 HONDA CRX-HF, SMALL ENGINE. COULD IT BE THE MASTER CYLINDER ?? OTHERWISE THE BRAKES WORK FINE. NO LEAKS ANYWHERE.
Sure sound like the Master Cylinder to me too. Look under the dash at the break pedal for fluid leaking on the back side of the master cyl. If you see fluid leaking, replace that puppy before you drive one more inch. Federal Mandate requires that automotive brake rubber parts last 10 years. Check all the rubber brake lines for cracks too, and replace if any dote. All it takes is one, slam the brakes on hard, and you could be in serious trouble. Look Ma, NO BRAKES.
