I have a 1990 34' Pace Arrow P-30 Chas. As I turn the steering wheel it binds up and won't turn when parked. If I hit the brake peddle when turning the steering wheel the peddle pulsates and the wheel locks up. If I first press on the brake peddle then turn the wheel, It won't turn at all. If I release the brake peddle the wheel will turn, but only so far then lock up again. There is plenty of fluid in the power fluid resiviour. Think the pump is gone? What is your opinion?
Sound like the belt is short of tension, on those the belt has to be kept at peak spect & clean. Have some one to operate the steering with the brake pedal depressed& watch the P.S. pump pully & belt if it slip. Also check to make sure there is not antifreeze, oil & greasy matter on the belt & pully.
If belt is soaked, replace it.
