I never seen so many valve bodies ect. Dont know where to start. I have had a slight squeal for a fewq weeks and thought it may have been a belt. I checked the fluid in the power steering and the belt and all looked fine. Then i parked for about 10 min and started back up and no power steering and almost no brakes. Was only 2 miles from home so drove it home with no power steering and weak brakes. When i got under i could not understand the systen and have never checked out the brakes and power steering on this. I was looking for a vac. booster but did not find one. When it cooled off and i restarted it about 2 hours later i had brakes and power steering. But when i trun the wheels or press the breaks it squales real loud. Where do i start to troble shoot I cannot make the connection between the power steering and brakes. As you can guess i havent done much mech. since the mid 80's and things sure have changed.
Any help would be welcome.
Russ:
The power stering pump is the brake booster called a hydroboost system. Haven't had to do any work to mine, but if it is squealing and the belt is tight it might be time for a new pump. Hope this helps
