2008 39' weekend warrior brake problems by amber

Does anybody know or have the same problem and how to fix it? I have a 2008 2500hd Chevy Z71 and towing a 39' 5th wheel weekend warrior. for the last 6 months my brake control keep saying short, or overload or it will just work when ever it wants. It is very scary driving this like this but nobody knows what is wrong with it. I have had it looked at 3 times and it is in shop again today because i was leaving to drive up north 9 hours and it started not working again and they still do not knwo what is wrong. they have tried other trucks with it, other controllers and have checked the lines and still noting. I am so frustrated. Please help me!!
