I have a 91 v2500 suburban that we just swaped from a 6.2 diesel to a 5.7 tbi used the 4l80 that was behind the 6.2 it all works fine when its cold but after about 10 - 15 miles it doesn't shift from 1st to 2nd without bucking like it is shifting back and forthonce you get it into 2nd and on up it works fine till you slow down and at about 7mph it bucks again. has new TPS, ????? HELP Please
The TPS is a throttle position sensor. It tells the computer the engine load. I guarantee you that you need to bring that truck/computer/tps to get it calibrated to the engine load vs rpm vs vss (vehicle speed sensor) If you swapped the engine then the mechanic should have verified the engine load data being sent to the PWM as being the same. If is wasn't then the computer is reading a different "engine load"
