I have a 1998 gmc (C6500) truck. the problem is the shift points of the automatic transmission have a mind of there own lately. There is no slippage at all, only erratic shifting. the truck runs fine with plenty of power, but when going from a complete stop, the engine over revs until it finally shifts and then when it gets to the point of going to third gear it will jump back and forth eratically until you let up, then will stay in if you feather the pedal. the vacuum modual was replaced due to it being full of transmission fluid. this did not help. vacuum seems fine. any ideas?
I have a 1995 jimmy. The forward gears shift fine but in reveres is goes forward then starts back but the wheels seem to "lock" and it wont go in reverse. Also neutral no longer exists. I acts like drive. The vehicle still only starts in park or neutral like it should. Is is a sensor or is the tranny shot....
The problum with my trany is it starts good but it stays in one gear from 1-4 and when i tap the plug in the back it shift back to 1st and it well only go manuely.
