I have a 93 chevy 3500 with the 4l80e,
pulls out strong in first gear then when i floor it, it will shift into second gear and then stay in second, also speedometer is not working...any ideas please help
It sounds like a related problem, the computor should be setting a code, getting it scaned may tell you where to look. My guess is the output speed sensor is bad (I forget what chev calls it) orr the wiring in between. A while ago chev also had an item they called a Drak(I think). it took the sensor input for the speedo and split it to trans computor, engine computor, cruise control and speedo. The symptoms you have sugest that no speed signal to anything. So the drak could be bad, but this is rare. More likely sensor or wireing wiring gets more likly the more miles on the unit. Good Luck
Bubba i saw your reply to no shift no speedo think u r right.i need help 1993 1 ton van 4l8oe runs fine drive maybe 20 miles pull up to house stop shift to r no back up pull back with wifes car truck drives 1good 2soft no3 no4 no r this truck is nice low miles no junk
