1st thing to check is for broken wires or bad brake light switch. Auto trans. lock the torque when in overdrive to get the best MPG. If a signal is coming from the brake light the torque will not lock. In some cases a broken wire will keep it out of overdrive. You wouldn't believe how many overdrive problems we get rid of just by adjusting the travel on the brake light switch.
My passenger headlight is dim and no right signal but if lights are off or curstsy light on the right signal lighht works and i can't figure it out if any one can help me that would be great
I have an 89 ranger 4WD AUTO. When I shift into reverse, the fuse for the directional signals and backup lights blows. Where is the backup light switch located, and could it be the problem?
