Can't get it out of park? Brian 12-13-06
1996 Dutchman Mountain Aire, with a Ford engine. It just won't come out of park? I understand I have a blown fuse?
However, I checked all I could find and they all check out good with my meter? Their is a lot of fuses on top of the dash, some under the hood and a small pannel near the floor by the drivers feet? any idea what is going on?

Ford has a safety feature that requires you to have your foot on the brake when you shift out of park.

If you still can't shift, your brake light switch is either bad, or a broken wire there.

You can shift it out of park by turning the key part way, shifting to nuteral, and then starting.

That doesn't fix your brake lights though.
