I have a 1994 Chevy pickup that hesitates for a few seconds going into drive. It goes into reverse immediately. I don't know if it's a 700R4 or a 4L60E. I haven't put it on the rack yet to find out. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?
Thanks,
Mike
There may be nothing wrong with it other than it is getting old. Do an oil change and inspect the pan for debries. If it has metal in the oil it needs to come apart if not keep driving it. Good Luck

could yhe input clutch seal in the drum has rolled over or the seal is parcially split or drum has a crack...the trans fluid may be low or trans filter is sucking air
