I own a '96 Chevy express conversion van and i am having tranny problems, It has the 4l60e, i had it rebuilt 5 times by the same guy under warranty and it will be good for a few days and then it will start slipping, it usually burns out overdrive, there are no codes in the computer, he even rebuilt a different tranny and i am still out of luck now he won't rebuild it again, he says the car has an electrical problem, but i don't see how, i bought a different computer had it re flashed with the latest software and nothing. anyone? i think we should all write to National Highway Traffic Safety board. This is a manufacturers design flaw. I've read everywhere that there is a bad weld on these trannys that can come off and you will loose shifting, the web site to file a complaint is :

E-mail me and also pass this on if you are a member of any other web forums dealing with the 4l60e.

Maybe your tranny is running hot. blocked oil cooler. scan for data in the scanner and check the tranny temp if you keep burning them up. i rebuild trannys for a living
