Have a 2000 Renegade with Cat and 6 speed allison. Question is: Gear position indicator on console doesn't change when transmission downshifts on it's own. It does when I manually downshift. Is this normal, and if not does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it(other than the obvious - take it to an Allison shop). Thanks.
This is normal.The display shows the highest attainable range. Older wtec 11 models showed selected and attained ranges,wtec111 does not.New model Gen 4 trans have gone back to two display.
