I've torn down my V730 and have found damages. My request is for corrections to reduce the chances of a repeat failure. My problem was locking up condition in a forward speed (presumably 2nd speed) and would stop the engine when bringing the coach to a stop. The fluid system was clean and no overheating was experienced. The mainshaft is scored and the sleeve bushing is wiped out, the front plentary carrier clutch splines are grooved deeply where the first clutch plates ride. The rest of the hardparts, clutches, seals and bearings are in good shape. No slop in the bevel gears either and no damage to the center support. I'm about to rebuild this unit, but wish to correct the problem. I'm in the process of tearing down the convertor for inspection, possibly the lockup clutch piston is cracked or the one-way clutch in the stator has come apart. Any help out there?
