We have a 1966 rear door 19' Clark Cortez with the slant 6 for sale. Engine runs, has good compression, but may need head gasket replaced, and carburetor readjusted and a general tune up. (It runs ok, but tends to die at intersections.) One of the front brake cylinders has a slow leak (needs to be topped off every six months or you will need to bleed the brakes). Battery if fairly new. Also fairly new alternator. It did get significantly more than 10 miles to the gallon. I don't know what it gets now.
My mother had the two passenger front seats replaced with Volvo seats back in the '80s. There is some surface rust and some slight dings, but overall it is pretty good for being so old. Options include a special heater for cold weather, gas/electric fridge that works fine. This unit spent most of its days in the deep freeze of Alaska. It has been housed in our shop, and we would like the space back, but don't want to leave it out in the weather.
It is ready for pick up in Walla Walla, Washington, or I might even be persuaded to deliver it within say 300 miles if you pay my gas. We would be very happy to get $1500 out of it as long as it goes to a good home. I'm getting ready to put it on ebay if I can't sell it elsewhere.
