I want to spend next winter in Mexico and thinking about having my 52 Flx worked on; rust and paint. Anyone have any information on conversions, body work, and paint in Mexico?

Hi jerry
we are thinking of having Manuel Amadors paint our old bus. did your paint job hold up well? nice gloss and and would you have him paint another bus for you? Manuel's quote was $4800 for one color. Is this still mexico and open to a counter offer? Your right he seems like honest guy. don
Hi Lanny,
I copied this from another bus group.

Most of us Western Busnuts of FMCA get our busses painted at Manuel Amadors in Los Algodones
My 04 has 4 colors of Emron $2800.00. They strip it to the bear metal, prime, seal then paint. You can stay in the bus while they do it. He has hook ups. That price encludes some body work.
Call him at 011-658-517-7914
Tell him wino bob said to call
Algodonis is about 15 miles east of Yuma.
Manuel is a great guy!
Los Algodones is 15 miles WEST of Yuma (third exit westbound) from the 4th ave./I-8 exit. Exit to the right then left at the stop sign, and the border is about two miles. They DO mean 35mph too, and the Tribal Police (it's on the Quechan Reservation) will bust you quickly, 'cause they get the money, not California. Make sure you have NO guns or ammo with you when you cross the border, or you may not get back for a year or so. Lots of cheap Phamaceuticals too. The hookers wear red tennis shoes, and are licensed by the local Police! Take your wife, let her help with the paint cost...a license is $52.00 (USD) and the sneakers are about $4.50. Get two pair of bi-focals in less than 4 hours at Los Algodones Optical for $85.00 (includes exam) Walk down Calle Myia to the park and bus-stop and watch some really neat, gaudily painted OLD buses load and head out....JJ
