I HAVE A 64 SLVR EAGEL 8V71 4 SP MAN TRANS, AFTER I TURN OFF THE MOTOR AND TRY TO START II IT STARTS BUT ACTS LIKE IT NOT GETTING ANY FUEL, I HAVE LOTS OF FUEL, WHEN I PUSH THE PEADEL DOWN IT IS HARD TO DO, SOME ONE SAID THERE IS A FLAP THAT CUTS OFF AIR. Hey Did you know that you can take the pan off your engine and replace any cylinder Piston from the bottom with out taking the heads off of your engine.
Gary had the same problem.my bus has a high idle runs off air before you shut off bus turn off high idle let the rpms idle down to were engine is not looping then turn off engine. when you turn off these 2 cycle engines at a high idle it shuts off fuel to engine and as it it makes revolotions it sucks fuel out of primary fuel filter then you must reprime filters and injectors to get out air. hope this works for you. PS take off filter filll up with diesle put back on have someone crank engine and spray either into air filter intill it runs
