I have a 96 Class A, and wondered what would happen if I turned the front wheels around so they would be more outboard, like the newer models. Would I get more stability, and would it be safe???
If you reverse the wheels as you described, you would place the center of the tire outside the center of the wheel bearings and cause extreme bearing wear.
You would also most likely have some fender clearance issues going around corners.
If you desire to have better stability on the front end, changing tires isn't going to do that much for you. Adding front and rear sway bars, or larger front and rear sway bars, auxillary air springs, re-loading the coach and putting the weight lower in the coach, and replacing the springs with much stiffer springs will do more to increasing stability.
