Today I looked at a 1969 Cortez motorhome. I have admired them since I was a young man (I am now 55). Would someone give me some pointers on how to get informed about these RVs? I am under the impression they have a GM Toronado engine and front wheel drive. Would I end up having an antiquated piece of junk or a real classic? The asking price is around $10,000. I'm thinking of offering around $7,500. I'm especially concerned about getting service and parts for a rig of this age.
