Help,
Does anyone know anything about charging systems in these buses. The new batteries that I just bought and installed are discharging. I have hooked them up both + to ground and - to ground and they are doing the same thing both ways. This cruiser has been setting for 4 years, runs great but to charge to the batteries.

Richard, go to a sparky, for 2 <> 12 batts volt conected for just 12 volts its simple but make sure you know if its - to earth or + to earth first, most cars/trucks are - to earth... for 24 volt its simply conecting by a link strap from + to - from 1st to the 2nd batt so assuming you bus is - earth... No 1 batt is - to earth then + to the - on the 2nd batt and lastly + to the alternator/regulator...get it (-:
Is it the original 65-85 amp GM generator voltage regulator setup it does not charge at idle. I believe it is 12-1400 RPMs before it starts charging. If the voltage regulator box is silver, and about 1 1/4 feet, by 1 foot it's probably original.

Thank you for the information on the batteries, the second half of your message about the generator did not come through. Could the discharging challenge be in the regulater?
