Am interested in Neoplan Spaceliner or Skyliner for conversion. An older model shell at reasonable price would be great. Any pros or cons would be much much appreciated.
Neoplan buses have had a bad rep in regards to electrical problems.
With the newer computer operated engine and transmission management systems, the last thing you would want are glitches in the electrics.
Also, some of the older Neoplans had Euro spec engines and transmissions. Those could be very hard to find parts and pieces for in the future.
They are great driving buses although most of the motorcoaches would not convert very well. Most of the Neoplan motorcoaches had "theater seating"--meaning the floors were sloped so each row of seats was a little higher than the seat in front of it.
Would I own a Neoplan? If the price and condition were right, yes.
