Yes. If you are referrring to the aluminum panels that are riveted to the inner aspect of the frame. The decorative paneling that forms the heat duct (may be carpeted or woodgrain/gray formica) can be removed without a problem...as can all the heater ducts and racks. Most of the frames have some sort of problems that need to be addressed..so removal may be necessary. Just put'em back. If you see white looking stuff oozing from the bolt or rivet holes, it full of water. The panels can be reused if carefully removed and marked for correct reassembly. Good luck with your project.
I assume the MCI 5/6/7/8/9/10's has simular inner skin so could you replace any rusted frames from the interior and not have to destroy the Drualumiun outer section. We have Govt in Aust ruling frames have to be examined by engineers after 15 years and many have destroyed the outer drualimina skin getting the rivets out etc so I'm thinking if you can see most of the rusted frames from the inside it might be a safer alternative. In Australia the cost of getting new outer druaalumunia sheets is impossible..we replace it with thin metal sheets over the frames and glue the lot together...very tricky. So if I can I'll stick to the inner alterative because the inspectors can see 3/4 of the frames anyway...dose that make sense to you JR
