Ok...so now I am almost ready to depart for points south and pick up my beautiful bus...I gather that I need a generator cuz I definately want to have air available if I need it. Now the question - do I have to spend a fortune on a generator like Onan or can I get by with a couple grand? Bus is deisal does that make a difference?
Gasoline is nasty stuff. Dangerous, volatile, smelly, causes nasty fires. If you buy a gasoline generator, you need to add an extra tank to carry this nasty substance. You have to refuel twice.
If you get a diesel genset, you don't have to add this unpleasant substance to your house.
If you were going to add a gas tank to support ATVs or your toad, fine, use a gas generator. If not - why put this nasty substance under your house when diesel gensets are available?
By getting a diesel generator, you can tap directly into your existing fuel tank. A bus should have about 145 gallon tank, so this would be ideal for you.
I have found Colorado Standby generators sells very inexpensive Onan units. Click here to visit their site.
