Russel, I recently E:mailed you about the ultimate motherload of information about the Fageol Motor Coach Company. Hope you got it. In any case the motor is stilll for sale, best offer accepted. You pick up or pay shipping. And for others interested yes it did come out of a "Big Blue". The truck itself was torn apart due to Oregon coast cancer but the engine and tranny are in fair condition (Rebuildable, and only driven 2500 miles after a rebuild from Chicago to Yachats Oregon.) As I can recall It was turned over several times a year untill the early 90s when the batteries went south. I have spoken to many deisel mechanics locally and they say even in the condition its in it would not take much to restore with the proper gaskets and a love of Fageol engines. Other than that it's as is. It would have been nice to have it back east and in a more temperate climate. Maybe it would still be on the road today. P.S. for those interested in moving Coastally, I wouldn't advise it. The thin sheeting and framework won't like it very much. Keep them in the Deserts I say. Although my father Had to move for health reasons and it was unpreventable. |
