If it's the MAP or MAF sensor, it may not turn the "check engine" light on, but it will ALWAYS set a code. If you haven't pulled codes yet with a scan tool it is impossible to say what is at fault.
A miss while driving and not accelerating or decelerating could be a few things, not the least of which is a bad fuel pump or a leak where the fuel pump meets the steel line in the gas tank or maybe even a spark plug wire arcing to ground. Your car is OBD2, so anything electrical that would cause this problem will set a code. No codes and you have a tune-up issue or a problem that isn't electrical.
