While driving at even speed engine will start missing badly. speed up or let up and it stops. Will go 3 or 4 miles then clear up. May be next day or next week before it does it again. I'm thinking Mas, but at $110 like to make sure. Thanks in advance for your help..........
If it's the MAP or MAF sensor, it may not turn the "check engine" light on, but it will ALWAYS set a code. If you haven't pulled codes yet with a scan tool it is impossible to say what is at fault.
A miss while driving and not accelerating or decelerating could be a few things, not the least of which is a bad fuel pump or a leak where the fuel pump meets the steel line in the gas tank or maybe even a spark plug wire arcing to ground. Your car is OBD2, so anything electrical that would cause this problem will set a code. No codes and you have a tune-up issue or a problem that isn't electrical.
