2000 Class A Motorhome. Old style tv how to rewire for the new HD system. Tv in bedroom runs on battery and shore power. TV in front over the eng. cover electric and gen power only. Manual satellite. Was told due to different wire requirement (size)etc,etc, it could not be done. Tell me it isn't so and I will not have to take out a second mortage to retro fit it.

If you are using your satellite and have dish or direct tv the box will convert the signal so you can watch your stations without any changes. If you are going to watch your local stations without the satellite you will have a to buy a converter box for each set. They will be out soon and there will be a $40.00 rebate for up to 2 boxs that you can get on line. I would wait till fall before buying a box so the prices come down. The ones out now are around $150.00. They say they will only cost $75.00 or less but we will see. I don't know of any wiring changes you will have to make other then an inverter if you are watching on battery power. Hope this helps. All the TV sets at Walmart and many other places now have the new turners in them so you will not have to buy a converter box.Might be cheaper to replace your TV.
