SF-30 Suburban Furnace Richard 2-12-08
I have a problem with my furnace, it will not light the burner. The fan comes on and the ignitor works and it is getting gas but the burner still will not light. I have a 1990 Fleetwood Bounder Motorhome and a 2005 travel trailer. I switched the two furnaces with the new to the old and it would still not light in my motorhome with the new furnace from the 2005 travel trailer. Will you see if you can help me with this problem? Thanks.

Since you said you have "switched units" My "guess" is low pressure propane or low voltage- check your battery and ground connection too,-not allowing full speed from fan and the sail switch not closing the circuit-to ignite propane.

How much pressure should i have and how much voltage should i read on my meter.Where should i check the ground on battery at? Thanks.
Re: SF-30 Suburban Furnace Dale 4-4-08
Check the voltages to and from the thermostat (blue wires to furnace case). Should not be lower than 12 and 10 vdc. The second voltage goes thru the limit switch and sail switch to energize the Gas Solenoid (.75 Amps) after a time delay.

Re: SF-30 Suburban Furnace Charlie 1-7-09
I have an SF30 furnace that will not light. The fan will not come on either. I have 14vdc on one of the (4) wires coming to the furnace unit. I have a full tank of propane and my hot water heater lights fine. My unit is in a 1998 motorhome. I was told there might be a relay the power comes from?
