HOW DO YOU RESET THE CHECK ENGINE ON A 2001 JIMMY W/STANDARD ENGINE..ON MY 2004 GRAND AM IT'S ABOUT PUMPING ON THE THE GAS 4 TIMES. ANYTHING LIKE THAT LITTLE SECERT FOR THE 2001 JIMMY?
The easiest way is with a code scanner. If your truck isn't going thru emissions inspection in the next 6 months, you can just disconnect the negative cable on the battery.
I recommend going to your local parts store and getting someone to read the codes using a code scanner and then resetting the light. They do it for free and you get to see why the light came on and what that means when and if the light comes back on.
