My twelve volt lighting in my fifth wheel is going on after 10 seconds and then shuting off in 6 seconds and continues to do this over and over again.
All of the electric stuff still works.
I found which fuse (#5) controls all the 12 volt stuff and when I shut it off- I have no lighting or fridge at all for anything.
I have contacted every parts person in the area and they all say it is too old for them to deal with and all the stuff is computerized and geezzzz... I live in it, in a friends back yard after my divorce..(isn't life grand?!!)
I would appreciate a cheap fix or any suggestion on how to proceed.
The clicking on the little 12 volt box is freaking me out..
help!!
Sounds like you have a circuit breaker cycling on and off. You may have a heavy load on the circuit causing it to cycle. It also may be the breaker getting old and tired. Try to reduce the load to that circuit and see if it slows down the cycling. You may have a short in the wiring somewhere. You may need someone with a VOM meter or test probe to locate your problem. Turn off the AC 110 volt power when messing in the 12 volt box. Good Luck Mike
Last night I turned everything off except for the heater.
This morning the clicking stoped (or sometime through the night)
The on/off stuff stoped too.
Prior to all this happening, I took a light (12 volt) down as I was having trouble with it. It didn't affect the clicking but this morning I noticed that there was some rust on the wires.
There has been a lot of rain.
Could this have had anything to do with this weirdness?
Any suggestions on what I should do next?
Thank you for your help.

Yes I think you may be on to something. Was there a lot of water in the connections? There may be some other boxs with connections setting in water. You might keep looking at other connections and see if you find one full of water. Might be a leak somewhere in the roof and the water is running down into the wiring.Sometimes you can dry things out with a hair dryer but be carefull around anywires with AC on them. Keep looking and Good Luck MIKE
