I rent a 14x70 mobile home with a Coleman Evcon elctric furnace 39,000 BTUs. With the first problem it was a wire that had burnt off one of the heating elements (heating stick type). They replaced it. I now have luke warm air and the furnace runs 2 hrs. at the least to bring the temperature up 2 degrees. They hooked up some kind of meter with two clips on the heating elements to test them and told me nothing is wrong with the furnace. He siad the heating elements either work or they don't work. He told me to close off all the fresh air vents in the ceiling which I did and of course it has made no difference in the heating problem. The furnace worked fine with hot air and short periods of running before the wire burnt off. So since I rent and this is who they use to repair I am at a loss when he is telling me nothing is wrong. I know this cannnot be the proper way for it to run. Any ideas as to what the problem can be? |
