I have a 2002 F-250 7.3 liter diesel. It has started to leak oil from just behind the oil drain plug. There is a plate with four bolts in it. I am wondering if there is a simple gasket that can replaced or if this a front seal going bad.
If it is the from seal- I am not positive you can use this with diesel engine but I have used it with a regular gas car engine 2 time successfully- Go and read the containers at walmart to check).
I went to walmart and bought an additive for leaks and it worked twice- the main seal is not expensive but to pay someone labor...that is a different story. under $5.00 added to every oil change- cheap enough for me.
