Question: With the frig. on propane (full tank),should it run till propane runs out? Or will it run until the house batteries run down, say in two weeks. I had put MHDP in storage for two weeks, on returning the frig. and freezer were defrosted. Went to camp ground and pluged in and Frig. worked ok
The magic box on the fridge that runs the ignitor and gas supply has a minimum voltage around 10.5 to 12 volts. If the batteries go dead the fridge goes brain dead and shuts off. Normall operation. By the way I have seen fridges run indefinatly with a 80 watt solar panel and 2 big batteries. Good Luck
I have a Norcold refrigerator in my 2006 Jayco 28' travel trailer. I was starting to de-winterize for this season to find that my refrigerator would not start up in the auto mode. I keep getting my green on light and yellow gas light flushing. I did not try to start up with gas only. one thing at a time. Is there some sort of transfer switch from gas to electric that I can check?
My norcold ice box is a model 6162 2 way, it okay on 120 volts but whene you go to gas it lites and stay on for about 15 secounds, I think it needs new power supply, what do you think.
