Having problems with the propane generator not running due to clogged lines and regulator.
Had new line and regulartor put on in Oct 2007 and now it will not start again. I think it is the junk residue in the tank but I cannot find anyone who would be willing to purge the tank out here in West Texas.
Someone stated that you could change the carburator to run on the gas instead of the liquid..any ideas on this?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Yep those can be switch to fuel with carburator, fuel pump, & some hardware.
FYI, The propane is store in a liquid form in the tank at a pressure of 200psi, the outlet is at the top of the tank & draw vapor only to the regulator(there should be any residues), after the regulator the pressure is 11 inch of water(if remember ok 2-3 psi. You got an other problem or a defective safety valve(the one on the line just before the carburator). Any propane retailer know how to troubleshoot those.

My generator has 80 hours run time. Most of the time it has to crank through several start cycles before it will run. Starting fluid seems to help. If I start it say once a week, it seems to start better. Any suggestions?
