I have a 94 Ford Ranger and it will not reach normal operating temp. I have replaced the thermastat and cooling levels are o.k. What is the next step to curing this problem?
It sounds to me as if you are trying to cure a cold run problem. Is it cold on the guage or cold from the heater. Basicly if it warms up at all and you have good heat inside the cab the guage system is suspect. If its cold on guage and heater temp a new bad t stat is probable. Especialy with the junk a lot of parts stores are selling lately. I was going through 1 a mont 2 winters ago untill I found a supplier selling a good quality product. And it was not anyone you ever saw advertised on TV. Last ford is notorious for air locking heater cores. Good Luck
