I have a skoda fabia it is two years old, the problem is a bad smell fills the car after being driven for about 15-20 miles this comes up only when stationary. When the air con is off it does not do it.. can you help please??
Sounds to me like you have mold growing inside your A/C evaporator box. There are disinfecting sprays that you can buy, but the best way to fix the problem is to find the source and clean the box out completely.
When the A/C is running, do you have water dripping out from under the car? If not, then the drain from the evaporator box is clogged and that's why you're growing mold.
I just bought a Skoda Fabia 2001 model with 70000 km on board. Before buying it a certified mechanic checked it and approved is in the best condition. I didn't get home to it and i got "FIRE" under the bonnet. Some plastics tubes, the cap from the engine and the wirings were melted. Mechanics say might be a problem at the engine as it got some funny color. What do you think? Any answer is welcome. And what about the wiring. Anybody knows how much would cost to change it? Thanks.
