Cylinder is hot in back, and slight yellow powder residue. Also, very foul smell inside fridge that I cannot get rid of. What could be and how should I fix? Or should I replace?
THANKS
the fridge is only a 2003 model, but I am seeing that a cooling unit is 600+ and about 400 to put in.. is that about right? In that case, isnt it cheaper and easier to replace? Others tell me that I should buy an apartment size fridge and put in instead of rv fridge, what do you think about that?
your reefer is shot
TURN IT OFF---the yellow is the tracer to show you the Amonia has leaked out, some can be rebuilt---depends on how old--buying a new one---os often the best thing to do---you can get longer warrenty

Melissa;
I would replace the reefer with a RV type not a house one
house reefers cant stand the rocking and rolling rv's do---it would destroy it self
but, never operate house type while moving--if you don't go much--a cheapie house type might hold up---
I have had my motorhome for only 6 weeks it is a 2004 by never been used. My refrigerator is taking up to 12 hours or more to get cool. Have had other travel trailers and the frige got cool in a couple of hours???
