Is it common to use transmission fluid instead of brake fluid in brake systrm. a friend with a 2000 allegro put in brake fluid and was told it was wrong.
NEVER mix the 2, oil will boil and gum up the "ENTIRE system and his abs system will be totally ruined---
DOT 3 only in brake systems and never mix dot 3 and other dot fluid

IF YOU PUT TRANY FLUID IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM YOU "WILL HAVE PROBLEMS" AND POSSABLE HAVE TO REPLACE ANY THING THAT HAS RUBBER IN IT MASTER CYLINDER HOSES CALIPERS WHEEL CYLINDERS ALL HAVE RUBBER IN THEM THAT WILL SWELL UP AND CAUSE IMPROPER OPERATIONS AND LEAKAGE THIS CAN BE COSTLEY ON ANY MOTORHOME CAR OR TRUCK
