When turing on my norcold frig to auto(plugged in to electric), the lp gas burner lights the frig, it will not run on electric. I tested the plug and it is okay. The fuse in the circuit board in the back of the frig is okay as well. any suggestions on how to fix the problem
We have a norcold 1200 refrigerator and a few months the recall was performed now the refrigerator is not cooling but when put on gas it ignites and stays on for awnile and then goes off. no code lights up on the door to indicate what might me wrong. I have it on max cold and the inside temp is 60 degrees. the freezer is not getting cold either. we are in Arkansas and the recall was done in Fl, what could be wrong?
Refrigerator not getting cold altho gas comes on when put in gas mode and all lights light up on panel on door. I have a 1997 RV Norcold model 6162. It works great on electric but it doesn’t on LP. I checked it and had a wasp nest, cleaned out the burner and still works great on electric but when i put it on gas it will spark and that’s all. I checked and it doesn’t seem like there is any gas coming to the burner. There is gas up to the relay that lets the gas thru but not on the other side? Can it be the relay or other things? I measured the voltage between the two connectors and i get 0v.
Our Unit will constantly click on and off while plugged into AC [Both 15 and 30amp]. The light inside goes on and off as well. If we turn on more lights the clcking on and off will stop for a while but will start again shortly.
My Norcold Model# 1200LRIM will not shut off when the on/off switch on the front of the Frig. is pushed. Opened up the small panel assembly housing the Frig controls on the front of unit and could not figure out how this assembly works.
Not a push type switch. Maybe some type of touch switch. Don't know if this assembly is the problem or something further down line in the circuitry.
My question is how can I test to find and correct this on/off problem. All other control functions work fine.
My norecold refg.has worked great until after Gustave it worked for a short time then want get cold any more,ithas never worked on gas but has worked on elec,and D.C.Could this be the be the elecontic panel can this be checked

Have a model 6162 and its not cooling not on 120v or lp both the ac light and the lp light indicator is on, unplug the unit and the lp light stays on which it should, but the burner does not fire, should I bleed the lp line, what should i look for in the controls
I currently have a Norcold refrigerator Model 120X-IMXX in my RV. This past week I took the RV out of storage and prepared it for our summer travels. The problem I have is my refrigerator will not cool down beyond 41 degrees. My freezer will cool down to 1 degree. The temp is the same on electric or gas. Any ideas what this could be?
We have a 2006 Thor Transport Toyhauler with an N811 Norcold refridgerator. We used it last weekend. The trailer was not quite level. After a couple hours, the fridge starting the "5 blink" code. The downloaded manual says I have to take it to the dealer to be repaired. Surely, there is something that i can do by myself.
The RV dealers in my area don't sound like they want to deal with it at all.
Can the solution really be that hard?

First thing I would check is continuity of the heating element. It can be done by removing the leads and testing with a small tester. If its burned out its alot cheaper then replaceing the control board only to find out its the heating element all along.
I had simular problems with Dometic but mine would not run too long on lp neither,
I would try turning off all electric and disconnect your 12 volt battery too for safety
pull off each wire one at a time, then lube it up with this gel you can get at a auto store for electric contacts, then put that wire back on before you go to the next one
do that to every wire includeing grounds and the fuses remove and rub with green pad or something and gel up too
don't get the gel everywhere thow
then fire it back up and see what happens
if that does not work then check out http://www.marksrv.com/pop_parts_dometic.htm they sell that board in the back cheap, the only thing is i recomment calling Dinosour Tectniqual help at 1-800-769-6746 once you have the board mounted because the wires can become confusing
but once i put a new board in my refrigerator works like a champ
the reason to gel the wires on the old one is to eliminate a bad contact
also do the gel thing on the new board so it does not corrode
i am assuming you know you need a good seal on the exterior access door to keep rain out and that the whole chimmney area behing the refrigerator needs to be pretty clean for air flow
I have a norcold model # 6162 fridge in my trailer and at night it will go out on lp gas. It works great during the day. If I go from auto to off and then back to auto it will ignite.
To reset the circuit board you open the panel to the circuit board on the refrigerator. Look for a white wire with a purple stripe. There should be an empty
socket on the plug to the right of the white and purple wire. Take a paper clip and place it into the socket and ground the paper clip. YOu should hear a clicking sound. Your circuit board should be reset if it is still good.
Can you tell me what colors the wiring is for the wiring from J3 to J7. Husband pulled them and can't remember where they go. And what would cause 5 amp in the back of the frig and the 15 amp inside camper to keep blowing?
Have a norcold 462..does not cool on electric and keeps blowing out 5 amp fuse in back..trailer is a 92how do I check the heating element and how does it come out if it is bad ? looks like it just slides out
I have a 1200 series Norcold refridgerator that the coils freeze up after about 1 week service. If I do not defrost about every three weeks the coil inside will completely freeze over with solid ice. Also the fridge compartment has a hard time cooling, stays about 50 deg. and runs constantly. Any soultions??
Model 1200 refrigerator keep blowing 5 amp fuse on mother board. Have had mother board, optical board and both elements replaced. Fridge works fine from spring thru fall but when the outside temp goes below freezing the fuse blows. Have had camping World trouble shot it mnay times, fans operation, LP pressure check but still blows fuses. Any help would be appreciated.

on LP but not AC. Error code NO AC. Had
been off for two months during non-usage prior to problem. 5A fuse on control board blown. Replaced same. Blew again.
118VAC at one end of fuse. Board indicates that the fuse is 5A/8A. Should I
try an 8A fuse? Suggestions, please. Thanx.
Help we have a Nordcold model 9182 gas/electric fridge it works great on gas, we can't get it to work on electric( gas usage is getting too expensive),it won't get cold. Is there any way to test to see what the problem could be ? We are living in this trailer, we had our house forclosed on and we can't afford to take to rv center to fix so my husband is a very handy person and is trying to fix himself. Pls help us solve this problem.

Hello we have a Norcold model 9182 Gas/electric fridge, it works and cools and freezes on gas but it will not switch work to electric, we can't figure what could be the problem. When we put on electric it doesn't get cold, how can we test to see what the problem may be, is there any way to run a jumper wire from one point to the other to test. Pls help if you can. Thank You

My norcold model N811FL quits working when the temp out side falls to 30 above or less. I am not at all happy with this problem and see that there are enough other problems with this fridge that it should be scrapped and something else done. Also when the temp was 105 everything in fridge froze. Annoying and expensive
I have a 2001 Komfort Travel Trailer, and cannot get the fridge to shut down. It says to hold the on/off switch for 2 seconds. When I do that nothing happens. Shouldn't the small screen be blank?
Hi, I have a Norcold model 9182 no code flashing but it appears to have gone into back-up operating mode and both top and bottom get very cold with no control of the temperature. Just freezes. Purchased and installed a new thermister with same results, every thing frozen. it's a 2-way and if set to a/c it freezes or if set to gas operation it still freezes. Do I need to do a reset to computer board, if so how do I go about it? Their are 16 wires at my plug in.

The coils in the refrig. keep going thru a defrost cycle. We defrosted the freezer and the coils would start to get real cold and then defrost. It has been doing this for a few days. The freezer is freezing and the refrig. is cold.
Norcold 611 with 5code flashing work's for a day tnen code's again if i remove the plug on the front panel circit board it will work again for a day ihave replaced the rear board and the thermister
Last night we turned on the refrig in our new trailer. Did not remember that the trailer had to be level. The refrigerator and freezer were not cold this morning. Does this mean it is ruined.
My Norcold model N821 works well on LP but not on AC. I have checked the AC heater and it is not shorted or grounded. There is appx 40 ohms resistance which sounds about right. I assume that the fault must be in the control box, a relay or something. Any way yo know if the board is bad or just replace and see?
My n821 stop working it did this in the summer i turned it off for a few hrs and back on it stated working now its not working the recall numbers dont match so thas ok dont know whats going on with it
My Norcold refrigerator will not run on LP. When on AC it works well but not very cold in the refrigerator (42F). Every time I took it in for repair they said every thing worked okay. I take my camper back home and the refrigerator will not work on LP. No fault lights are displayed. Sorry I do not know what model it is?
When I opened the back of the refrigerator up and checked both the AC and DC fuses they were both good. Once I put them back in the refrigerator worked for about two days on LP and then stopped!
I have a Norcold 1200LRM that stopped working and once again has a L1op fault code. I had the high limit switch replaced last year and have only used it a couple of times since then. It was repaird under warranty last time but, I don't think they will fix it since it is a 2006 model! Please help! I am a pretty good do-it-yourselfer if I have the parts and basic instructions. My Norcold N611R is just too cold, it freezes in the fridge section all the foods, I have no bliking lights on the panel, I changed the thermistor and the controler board in the back. any ideas ?

We have a Model N611RT Norcold Refrigerator. While the switch on front of refrigerator is on auto. and running on AC the pilot light tries to ignite and the gas light comes on. To get refrigerator to cool, we had to turn switch on front of fridge on gas only. Unit seems to be trying to run on gas and electricity at the same time when switch is on Auto. My Norcold double door 1200LRIM with Ice maker,LP or AC freezer seems ok, refridge wont stay 40 degrees or lower with food in it, at dealer right now havent found any problems so far any idea's, is this model just a lemon, no error codes. No recall on this frdge, has a fan, fan seems to run almost all the time, only shuts down when outsde tempature goes down. Seems like it's working hard. Help
Looks like we have the same problem as a lot of others here. Just turned our 1200 Norcold on this morning and the freezer was well below zero, the refrigerator at 60 degrees after 6 hours. ???? We had to replace the mother board this summer, ours was not a recall. Does anyone know what the problem can be. Way too many of these Norcolds giving way too many of us problems.

I had a repair tech. check my Refrigerator and he replaced the cooling unit and all i get is the freezer working some about 28deg. and the Refrig. not working at all. What if anything can I check to possibly get this unit to cool?

The Norcold refrigerator in the camper works great during the day, but when you leave the camper for a day or more the refrigerator goes out. This happens consistantly. Can you give me any suggestions as to what could be wrong with it? Thanks!
I also have have a norcold N611 flashing fault code 5 how do I reset the lock out. I'm on my third power board and it just doesn't last at all. at $400.00 a shot I could afford to drive to visit my Mother.
I have a norcold 962IM running on AC only.....it is flashing code c2 which says DC heater fault and to replace board in service manual....
however it sounds like you can reset the board.....How do you do this???
we checked fuses and wire connects and it ran for short while, but then started the code again. It did it once last week and I defrosted it really good and it ran for a week or better.....but it started the code again yesterday. It seems to frost up really quickly.....I have to defrost about every two weeks....

I have a 682 Norcold Refrig which I inadvertently left on for about 2 hours while the unit was not level. When I switch it to on, no lights come on. Not even the check light. I was told that there is some kind of mechanism that locks the unit when operating when not level. Can someone with good mechanical skills unlock it? Where can I find directions for doing so?
Sounds like u have a gap on your door or freezer area check to make sure the seals are good and u may have to put a fan on the condensor unit on the outside sounds like also can be getting to hot
