I have a Onan Generator in my Motor Home. Model 4BGEFA26100F. It will only run if you hold down the start button, once you let it up it will stop. It has ample oil.
I have the same problem with my generator. same model. i hooked a wire from the coil to a positive lead of the battery and it ran flawless. i have to unhook the wire to kill the motor.if you figure out the problem let me in on it. thanks
There is a fail safe shut down on the oil pressure switch so that it will shut down if the oil pressure doesnt reach a specific pressure This is over ridden by the start switch on initial start up Check this switch
