Onan NHM Marquis III 7KW in a 93 RV. Origional equipment. Cranks fine and rns well for 10-15 minutes. Then just shuts down. Shuts down is quicker in hotter weather. Generator will recrank after a few minutes but will not run as long until it shuts down again. Recrank and runtime seems to depend on the down time between shutdown and restart. I put the AC units on alternate and that stress does not effect the running of the generator. The fuel filter has been changed. Have some advice?
I have the same problem as Jim, however my manuel does not show a fan belt, the fan is mounted on the generator shaft...
I have changed plugs, fuel filter, and no success, ANY Help is greatly appreciated..
Same problem her I think I traced it to the electric fuel pump, maybe it stops pumping when it gets hot. The last time mine quit I took off the fuel line put it into a pickel jar cranked it no fuel
