Just bought this unit and have no literature...The batteries are not charging when the engine is running and I would like to check out the system before pulling the alternator. Also, the entire electrical system dies when I unhook the rear battery, so there is obviously a switching system or something similar for charging both, and it is either screwed up or something is wired wrong. Thanks for any help.

Hey, I found the problem... secondary wire from the pos terminal to the reg/rectifier was bad. replaced it and she charges like new!!!
