I will be doing an installation of a Banks Power Pack (Dual Air Pump Kit)on a 454 GMC Chassis. Motor Home is a 1989 Pace Arrow 208in Wheel Base, the unit has 54000 miles on it. I am soliciting any tips - cautions on how to proceed.
I have purchased some "Kroil" penetrating oil to assist in removing the header's. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Just finished installing a Banks Power Pack on my Bounder that has the Ford chassis with 460 eng. Buy two boxes of bandaids for cuts and scrapes. I made a set of stacked wooden ramps for additional working clearance. I did not have any broken manifold bots but the job still took three days. Hardest part was removing the old exhaust system. Thinking back, maybe the Camping World installation price of $500 is not a such a bad deal after all!
I put on Banks last Sept. on a 94 p30 454. Boy did it make a difference. A saw's all makes quit removal of the exhaust system. I broke 3 manifold bolts, but was able to lift manifold off of bolts and than turned them out with visegrips. Total time about 9 hours spread over two days. Good luck
